Taiwan’s semiconductor industry has become an indispensable global supply base for chips due to its mature foundation and reduced global production. The Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) has been called Taiwan’s “sacred mountain” because of its pivotal role in the industry. However, hidden crises lurk in the midst of this prosperity. Beyond semiconductors, where is Taiwan’s next core industry? Where should Taiwan go next? What is the direction planned and the advantages? These questions deserve attention. The Monte Jade Science and Technology Association (Taiwan), K.T. Li Foundation for Development of Science and Technology, and Fiar Winds Foundation have invited industry experts to share their insights on this critical issue concerning Taiwan’s future.
